Recovery Slow for Dodgers Christian McCarthy Saturday, August 26th , 2062 The Los Angeles Dodgers plan to take it slow with left fielder Christian McCarthy, knowing that his recovery from a fractured rib would likely include a few bumps in the road. A team spokesman told BNN, "Christian has up days and down days. It's still a process. He was feeling really good and then he had a step back. The doctors say it will be about 6-7 weeks before he can be activated." Christian McCarthy is expected to undergo surgery in Unknown tomorrow. This season, McCarthy has posted a batting average of .273 with 36 hits in 132 at-bats, 3 home runs and 19 RBIs. He has also scored 18 runs, walked 15 times and compiled a .349 OBP. |
