Week's Top Player: Toronto's Escobar Monday, September 12th , 2044 Damien Escobar punched, poked and pummeled the baseball last week and today he garnered a majority of the votes for the Eastern Region Player of the Week award. The Toronto Blue Jays left fielder slashed out a .346 average with 9 hits in 26 at-bats, 5 home runs and 10 RBIs. Thus far this year Escobar has hit .254 with 42 home runs and 99 RBIs. |
