2054 EAST Pitcher of the Year Chosen Friday, November 20th , 2054 The Detroit Tigers have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Franklin Schmitt, this year's Eastern Region Pitcher of the Year selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Schmitt compiled a 16-9 record in 33 starts, tallied 190 strikeouts in 196 innings and recorded a 3.31 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .225 batting average against him. Christopher Albaugh of the Minnesota Twins finished second in voting, while Joe Borck of the Memphis Blues finished third. |
