Shaver Gets #400 Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 Oakland's outstanding first baseman Jacob Shaver joined the 400 home run club today at Disney Stadium with a booming blast in the Athletics win over the Angels. They topped California 4-0. On his milestone day Shaver had 1 hit in 3 at-bats with 2 RBI and 1 run scored. Tongue-in-cheek he told the press, "Don't tell me when I get close to the next milestone. Just tell me after I reach it. It will be easier to hit that way." During his career Shaver has played in 1926 games, batted .292 with 400 home runs and 2126 base hits.
