Reds-Tigers Deal: Noyola for Ceja Monday, August 10th, 2026 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Cincinnati Reds and Detroit Tigers finalized a trade today. Cincinnati will send 25-year-old RHP Frank Noyola to the Tigers, while the Reds will receive 22-year-old minor league 3B Manny Ceja and a 3rd round draft pick. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Reds general manager Zeus Lunari said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. For the year Noyola has saved 0 games while posting an ERA of 6.17 and 18 strikeouts in 11.2 innings. His totals also include a 0-0 record in 7 relief appearances. |
