Injury Sidelines Danny Girard For Year Tuesday, July 26th, 2022 Danny Girard will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Oakland reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Girard was injured while throwing a pitch in the Athletics-Red Sox clash at Fenway Park recently. Doctors said he has a fractured elbow and would be out a minimum of 9-10 months. To this point in the season he has had no saves. Girard has made 6 relief appearances, tossed 3.1 innings and struck out 2 with a record of no wins and no losses. |
