Freeman on a Tear, Hits for Cycle
Wednesday, September 26th , 2046
The Chicago White Sox topped the Houston Astros by a score of 6-4 at Guaranteed Rate Field today but all the talk was on catcher Marshall Freeman.
The Chicago star hit for the cycle in a show-stealing performance, powering his club to the win. Freeman went 4-for-4, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to go along with 2 runs batted in and 3 runs scored.
"I felt comfortable at the plate in a way I haven't felt all season," Freeman said after the game. "It was like they were throwing beach balls at me - the ball seemed that big. And it just floated in."
Marshall Freeman doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Avery Meyer in the 5th and tripled in the 8th.
This season Freeman is hitting at a .263 pace with 19 home runs, 70 RBIs and has scored 51 times.
