Kansas City-Minnesota Trade: Mears for Resendez Monday, June 17th, 2019 Signed ... sealed ... and delivered. Kansas City has worked out terms of a deal to send 26-year-old 1B Dwayne Brooks, 32-year-old RHP Phil Reneau, 34-year-old RHP Curt Mears and a 2nd round draft pick to Minnesota for 33-year-old RHP Tony Resendez. Both teams expect to introduce their new players at press conferences later in the week. Kansas City will retain a portion of Mears's remaining contract. Minnesota will retain a portion of Resendez's remaining contract. This season in 5 starts Curt Mears has a record of 2-2 with 30 strikeouts in 29.1 innings and a 6.44 ERA. Thus far this season Resendez has posted a 2-4 record, started 13 games, struck out 69 batters in 78.1 innings and compiled a 3.91 ERA. |
