Mets Earl Jones Will Miss Season Sunday, September 11th , 2050 The New York Mets and their fans were rocked today by the news that star catcher Earl Jones would miss the rest of the season due to injury. Jones was hurt in a recent game against the Montreal Expos while running the bases. He was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was a severely strained hip muscle. His doctors think that Jones will miss about 4-5 months. This year Jones is batting .303 with 12 home runs and 51 RBIs. |
