Contreras Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Houston

MartÃn Contreras of the Memphis Blues came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats for the first time in 21 games. Making matters even worse for the second baseman, Memphis dropped the game to the Houston Astros 8-5.
"It was not a good day today," Contreras told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over."
Contreras is hitting .309 this year with 3 home runs and 24 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .377, 23 walks and scored 55 times.
