Poll Stretches Hit String to 31 Saturday, September 3rd , 2050 The Fresno Falcons stopped the Colorado Rockies today 2-0 and Hunter Poll collected a base hit yet again. The Fresno left fielder finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 31. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Poll told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Hunter Poll grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. Hitting .297 to date, Poll has no home runs and 29 RBIs. He has played in 104 games. |
