Padres, Royals Agree to Swap Monday, July 19th , 2038 Earlier today, officials from the San Diego Padres and the Kansas City Royals announced that they had finalized negotiations on a trade between the two teams. The deal will send 32-year old C Phil Dobbins, 31-year old RF Gustavo Olivares, 27-year old RHP Sherm Ramírez, and $1 in cash to Kansas City in exchange for 36-year old RF Felipe Ibarra and $3,556 in cash. San Diego will retain a portion of Dobbins's remaining contract. San Diego will retain a portion of Ramírez's remaining contract. Kansas City will retain a portion of Ibarra's remaining contract. Olivares is batting .250 with 3 home runs and 13 RBIs this season. So far this season Ibarra has 3 home runs and a .319 batting average. |
