Coleman Rips 3 HR
Monday, September 3rd , 2046
The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Oakland Athletics today.
Colorado right fielder Keiran Coleman tripled up on the home runs to propel the Rockies to the 8-1 win at Coors Field.
"We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Oakland manager Joe Stevens said. "Coleman hit the heck out of the ball."
In addition to the homers, Coleman collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
"Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings."
Keiran Coleman hit a solo-shot off Kason Larson in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Kason Larson in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Heath Gaston in the 7th.
Coleman is currently batting .276 with 38 home runs, 84 RBIs and 91 runs scored. He has 131 hits in 475 at-bats.
