Season Over for Cy Marrero in Philadelphia Sunday, July 4th , 2038 The Philadelphia Phillies were dealt a severe blow when Cy Marrero was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Seattle Mariners. After the game, the team trainer reported Marrero might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 27-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn labrum. They indicated it would take Marrero at least 4-5 months to heal. To this point in the season Marrero has 6 wins and 3 losses and a 4.62 ERA. |
