Red-Hot Ronnow Scorches Angels
Monday, June 13th, 2022
The California Angels downed the Houston Astros 6-5 today at Disney Stadium, in spite of the best efforts of Houston center fielder Ryan Ronnow. Ronnow lashed the ball all over the park in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with a 5-for-6 line -- and a loss.

"I don't remember a better day batting, but it sure is disappointing to lose the game," he said to BNN reporters in the postgame interview. "A win would have made the day much sweeter."

Asked if he would adjust his strategy next time the Angels face Ronnow, California manager Juan Lugo said "absolutely not."

"Our strategy was to not give him good pitches to hit," he said. "We didn't do that, and he worked us over. Thankfully, we won anyway, and next time we'll pitch to him better."

Ryan Ronnow singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 8th, struck out in the 9th and singled in the 12th.

Ronnow's current batting average stands at .325 and he has chalked up 3 home runs and 20 RBIs.
