WEST Rookie Vote Goes to Boyd Thursday, July 1st , 2032 Youngster Tim Boyd emerged as the latest Western Region Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Chicago deserved the honor, batting .229 with 8 home runs and 14 RBI. Is the month of June a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Boyd enjoy the limelight. In 75 games this year Boyd has posted a .284 average and put up these numbers: 19 home runs, 50 RBIs and 47 runs scored. |
