Hit Streak Now at 20 for Dominguez Saturday, June 24th , 2034 Rodolfo Dominguez continued his streak at Minute Maid Park today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Houston center fielder was 3-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Astros were not as fortunate, losing 9-5 to the Detroit Tigers. "Dominguez was hitting everything we threw at him," said Detroit manager Esteban Bermeo. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Rodolfo Dominguez singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and grounded out in the 10th. For the season Dominguez is currently batting .291 with 3 home runs and 29 RBIs. In 70 games he has reached base at a .333 rate and scored 29 runs to date. |
