WEST Trophy Goes to Saenz of Chicago Monday, June 2nd , 2036 Miguel Saenz is respected by most Chicago Cubs fans for his no-frills style of play. The 26-year-old first baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Western Region Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .464 average (13-for-28) with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored. So far this season Saenz is hitting .291 with 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 41 hits in 141 at-bats and a .333 OBP. |
