Garcia Throws 3-0 Shutout Wednesday, May 1st , 2052 Before the game, Nick Garcia said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Royal Port Stadium, the Rockies pitcher blanked the Vancouver Cascades 3-0. "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Garcia said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my fastball even when I was behind in the count." The Colorado starter held Vancouver scoreless, giving up 1 hit while registering 9 strikeouts and issuing no walks. "We didn't have very many good at-bats," Cascades manager said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."
