Royals End Moore's Streak Tuesday, April 30th , 2052 It was a doubly miserable day today for Dan Moore of the St. Louis Cardinals, as he saw his 28-game hitting streak end and his team lose 6-3 to the Kansas City Royals at Busch Stadium. The 29-year-old center fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Royals. "Anyone on a 28-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Kansas City manager Jose Juarez said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." This year Moore is batting .420 with 5 home runs. |
