White Sox Pick Up 1-0 Win
|
In a low-scoring clash between Chicago and St. Louis, pitcher Lyle Lundquist was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned accolades in the 1-0 win. Gaetano Bowers got the save, the 5th for him this season. With the win, Chicago goes to 12-10.
Chicago relied on the hitting of Shaun Ferguson to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the White Sox on top, 1-0. For the game, Ferguson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It's no secret that good defense follows around people who throw strikes," said Chicago manager Mike Rhoades.
