The Savannah Bananas went down to defeat to Matías Ferrer and his Hagerstown teammates. The final score was 6-1 in favor of the Suns. Ferrer picked up the win for Hagerstown, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 6-6. Virgil White collected his 4th save.
Kristopher Dedeaux, who is tied for 6th in the SAL in triples with 5, contributed to the Hagerstown win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Ferrer said.
