Slumping Crawdads Lose Again, 6-3
|
No one was more impactful than Damon Summers in the 6-3 Savannah win over Hickory. Summers went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Michael Jansen picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 5-5. The triumph puts Savannah at 52-42 for the season.
Savannah took the lead in the top of the fifth when Summers hit a 2-run triple. His 2nd triple of the season made the score 5-3, Savannah.
"We've got to get out of this funk," said Hickory manager Ken Ruggles.
