The Delmarva Shorebirds torpedoed the Lexington Legends at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The final score was 7-2, Delmarva. Nicky Licano went 3-for-5 for the winning team. The winner in relief was Cody Niral. He is now 4-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. The first-place Shorebirds lifted their record to 57-34.

Had Zach Colbert not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Colbert hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Shorebirds.

"It was a good win," said Delmarva manager Dan Lueck. "Not without blemish, but good."
