Braves Pick Up 4-3 Road Win Over Philadelphia
|
Atlanta rode a decent outing from starter Mal Smart to victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. The final score was 4-3. The winning pitcher was Smart, now 2-0. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8. The Phillies fall to 8-10 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2052 season.
Phooka May, who finished 3rd in the EAST in triples with 15 in 2047, aided the Atlanta cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder went 1-2 with a hit by pitch.
"Winning never gets dull," said May.
