The Greenville Drive and Kannapolis Intimidators riveted fans at CMC-NorthEast Stadium.

The Kannapolis Intimidators beat the Greenville Drive by a score of 8-2. Kannapolis catcher Edward Martin deserved the lion's share of the credit. Martin was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Intimidators. Kannapolis now has a record of 46-33 with the win.

With Kannapolis leading 3-0 in the bottom of the third, Martin hit a cutter from Yency Arreola for a grand slam home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Intimidators ahead, 7-0.

"They had a good approach," Greenville skipper Jaime Abalo said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
