Mariners Win, 2-1, in Extra Frames
|
The Seattle Mariners got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jonah Dunn, who stifled the Colorado offense en route to a 2-1 Mariners win at T-Mobile Park. Seattle reliever Gaman Ramage picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Marcus Graham was tagged with the loss. The win was the 16th in 17 games this season for the Mariners. It's a terrific start for a team that appears on course for a return trip to the playoffs.
Seattle won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Marcus Graham on the mound for Colorado, center fielder Jacob Cole hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Mariners fans to their feet.
"This game tested our mettle," said Cole.
