Falcons Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
San Diego got a valiant performance from pitcher Allan Spincic, but it wasn't enough to beat the Fresno Falcons. Fresno won the game, 5-1. Spincic threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Fulgencio Ochoa was the winner. He's now 1-1. The loser was three-time All-Star Allan Spincic. Costanzo Salieri earned the save for Fresno, his 1st.

Fresno used the hitting of Alim Morris to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Falcons on top, 2-0. For the game, Morris had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Falcons manager Pedro Alvarado. "This one was nice to get."

With the win, Fresno boosts its record to 5-12.
