Braves Lose to Asheville, 6-2
|
Asheville registered a win at McCormick Field by beating the Rome Braves, 6-2. Pitcher Paul Tork was one reason why the Tourists triumphed. Chase McCormick earned the save, his 18th, for the Tourists. The Tourists improved their record to 41-35 by beating Rome.
Lucas Hansen could have done more damage. In the top of the ninth, with Rome trailing 6-1, Rome had the bases loaded. That's when Hansen grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough. Asheville would go on to win the game.
