The Asheville Tourists defeated the Rome Braves, 11-1, at McCormick Field. Asheville was led by 22-year old second baseman Will Pfeifer, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Ryan Swaney went 6 innings for Asheville to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with 1 run. He scattered 6 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. His record improves to 9-3.
