The Kannapolis Intimidators picked up a win at Growlers Ballpark, downing the Jonesboro Growlers, 6-4. On the mound for Kannapolis was left-hander Vasquez Yarur, who played a pivotal role in the win. Josiah Ficek finished the game for Kannapolis and earned his 20th save. The Intimidators move to 46-23 with the win, while the Growlers drop to 35-34.

It could have been a different outcome for Kannapolis, had it not been for Bob Sargent, the 21-year old right fielder . Sargent contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Kannapolis up, 4-0.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Sargent told the Kannapolis Observer. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
