Intimidators Pick Up 8-3 Win Against Rome
Josh Dowd, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2057 draft, had a strong outing for the Kannapolis Intimidators against the Rome Braves at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 8-3 win. The Intimidators raised their record to 39-26.

Evan Nowlin had a big grand slam home run for the Intimidators in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Kannapolis leading 4-1 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Cedric Thompson and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Intimidators on top, 8-1.

"I think it just wasn't our night," said Rome skipper Oscar Lopez.
