The Greenville Drive picked up a win at Spirit Communications Park, knocking off the Columbia Fireflies, 4-2. Starting pitcher William Gerken was a big reason why. The Drive improved their record to 22-41 with the win over Columbia.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ramon Pantoja? The 23-year old right fielder Pantoja stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put Greenville up, 4-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Columbia skipper Gunner Litherland, "and it cost us."
