Catfish Top Power, 5-3
|
The Columbus Catfish clipped the West Virginia Power, 5-3, in 14 innings at Progressive Field. The standout performance belonged to Columbus pitcher and San Antonio, Texas, native Warren Sutton. The 7th-place Catfish bumped their record to 26-31.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the 14th for Columbus. That's when Dylan Greer hit a 2-run home run off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Jameson Armistead to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"The fans went nuts at the end," Greer said.
