In a low-scoring contest between the Lakewood BlueClaws and the Greenville Drive, 22-year old left-handed pitcher Jason Mack proved to be the difference. The Lakewood left-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-0 BlueClaws win. A.J. Summers closed the game out for Lakewood, earning his 2nd save. Lakewood, now 37-22, holds down first place in the South Atlantic League Northwest Division.

The game could have flipped with no one out in the top of the sixth. But Jason Mack made what his manager later called "an A-plus pitch." With a runner on 1st and Greenville trailing 2-0, Mack threw a fastball to Garry Watson, who grounded out.
