Lugio Shuts Out Lexington, 15-0
It wasn't easy but the Hickory Crawdads made it look that way.

Starter Giuliano Lugio shut out the Lexington Legends despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Hickory Crawdads cruised to victory, 15-0. Lugio allowed only 3 hits and rang up 11 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

This season, Lugio has compiled a 2-6 mark, 3.86 ERA and made 12 starts.
