In a close game at Spirit Communications Park, the Columbia Fireflies edged the Columbus Catfish, 5-4, in 17 innings. Columbia designated hitter Mark Jenkins stood apart with his performance. He went 5-9 with a home run and 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Justin Clines picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Yangency Bennett was tagged with the loss. With the win, Columbia upped its record to 30-24.

In the bottom of the 17th, with the score tied, Jenkins hammered a solo home run to win it for Columbia.
