The West Virginia Power weathered an outstanding game by Hagerstown center fielder Jonathan Hayter to topple the Suns, 6-5. Hayter went 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Kevin Skevington claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-1. The 8th-place Power own a record of 17-38.

Martin Sa had a big solo home run for the Power in the top of the fifth inning. With West Virginia leading 5-4 and the bases empty, he sized up a splitter from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Paul Miles and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Power on top, 6-4.

"We found a way to get it done," Sa said.
