Intimidators Come Back Late to Clip Bananas
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Kannapolis Intimidators and the Savannah Bananas, pitcher Ryan Chatman was the difference between victory and defeat. The Kannapolis right-hander earned kudos in the 3-2 Intimidators win. Kannapolis is now 35-17, Savannah 31-21.
Had Vinny Laher not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Laher hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Intimidators.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Laher.
