GreenJackets Collect 3-1 Win Over Tourists
|
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at McCormick Field.
The Augusta GreenJackets banked on Jackson Myers and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Asheville hitters in check. The final score was 3-1, GreenJackets, in 10 innings. The win puts the GreenJackets at 28-23, while the Tourists drop to 24-27.
Hugo Lázaro came through with a big-time hit for Augusta. The catcher smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I had everything working," said Myers.
