Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Lexington Legends and Kannapolis Intimidators.

Augie Schmunk led Lexington to a triumph over Kannapolis. The final score was 6-4. The shortstop went 3 for 4, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 2 runs and added 1 RBI. Lexington reliever Adrian Longrie was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Gio Sliwinski. Craig Stallbaumer collected his 3rd save.

Schmunk had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Legends went on to win.
