Delmarva turned a good performance from starting pitcher Jacob Dickerson into a 5-0 triumph over the Kannapolis Intimidators at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The winning pitcher was Dickerson, now 5-1. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. Delmarva now owns a record of 29-17.

Wallace Taylor had a big 2-run home run for the Shorebirds in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Delmarva leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Kaden Howerton and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Shorebirds on top, 3-0.

"Jacob went out and did what we needed," said Delmarva manager Dan Lueck.
