Lexington Loses Again, 4-0
|
The 2061 season is going from bad to worse for Lexington.
Columbus pitcher Pepillo Mejia did his part in helping his team beat the Lexington Legends, 4-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Mejia yielded no runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 9. His record improves to 2-0.
Abel Newell hit a 2-run triple off Kai Henry in the top of the third, which put the Catfish in front, 2-0. Newell had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"This game will humble you at times and you've got to buck up and deal with it," said Lexington manager Ryder Badge.
Now 1-44, Lexington has dropped 23 games in a row.
