RiverDogs Rough Up Legends, Take 14-0 Win

The Charleston RiverDogs got production up and down the lineup while beating the Lexington Legends, 14-0. One standout was second baseman Dan Allen. Allen, who is tied for 9th in the SAL in total bases with 80, went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Sergio Espinal picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-2. He struck out 12 in 6 innings. Lenard Chenault earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.
Silas Ware helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, RiverDogs.
Lexington manager Ryder Badge called the blowout loss "not what we wanted."
The 8th-place RiverDogs are now 20-25, the Legends 5-40.
