Grasshoppers Get Dramatic 3-2 Triumph
|
The Greensboro Grasshoppers wiggled past the Greenville Drive, 3-2, at NewBridge Bank Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Greensboro pitcher Lonnie Clerides. This win makes it 7 in a row for Greensboro.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Greensboro catcher Travis Williams, facing Joseph Milo, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Grasshoppers the 3-2 win.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Greenville manager Tim Fox.
