Henry Leads Suns to 9-1 Win Over GreenJackets
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Hagerstown Suns and Augusta GreenJackets.
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 22-year old center fielder Jed Henry, the Hagerstown Suns defeated the Augusta GreenJackets, 9-1. Hagerstown pitcher Ethan Willing got the win. He's now 1-1. Arnie Kinton was tagged with the loss. Desmond DeGrazia closed it out for Hagerstown, earning his 1st save.
In the top of the fifth, Hagerstown right fielder Axel Finn had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Finn stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 4-1, Hagerstown. For the game, he was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Finn after the game.
The Suns are now 19-23.
