In a low-scoring tilt between the Greensboro Grasshoppers and the Savannah Bananas, Ron Leisey was the difference-maker. The Greensboro left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. The win gives Greensboro a season record of 28-16.
The Grasshoppers got a big at-bat from first baseman Reinol Marquez. For the game, Marquez went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Greensboro a 3-1 lead.
"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Greensboro skipper Bryce Scott. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
