Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Asheville Tourists take on the Rome Braves.

A good performance from third baseman Hudson Wagner helped the Asheville Tourists defeat the Rome Braves, 11-0. Wagner went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Tourists. At 18-20, the Tourists claim 6th place in the South Atlantic League Carolina Division.

Madaleno Solano tagged a home run off D.J. Alley in the bottom of the second. His grand slam blast put the Tourists on top, 4-0. In all, Solano had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"Good pitching and timely hitting is a recipe for success," said Wagner.
