Fireflies Take Nail-Biter Over Hot Rods
Bowling Green catcher Brandon Escobedo had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-7, to Columbia in 12 innings. Escobedo went 6 for 7 with a double and 5 singles, while adding 4 RBI. The win went to Maxton Cullins in relief, making him now 1-1. Israel Orozco took the loss for Bowling Green. The Fireflies now own a record of 20-17.

The Fireflies got a clutch hit from second baseman Cole Blumenstock. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Fireflies.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Blumenstock.
