Marlon Valdez, who leads the SAL with a 0.78 WHIP, never let the Tourists get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Hot Rods to a win, 2-0. The win lifted the Bowling Green record to 21-19.

Valdez delivered a quality start for Bowling Green. The 6-foot-1 left-hander allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 7.2 innings of work.

"Felt great, felt really good," said Valdez.
